The REACH series is designed to address the unique challenges and dynamics of human trafficking in rural communities. This comprehensive training program sheds light on the prevalence of trafficking in rural areas, explores the vulnerabilities that contribute to it, and provides actionable tools for prevention, identification, and intervention. Rooted in a public health approach and informed by survivor experiences, REACH aims to provide participants with the knowledge and resources necessary to create meaningful change in their communities.
Who Should Attend: Law Enforcement and First Responders: To learn about identifying trafficking and providing trauma-informed responses. Educators and School Staff: To recognize at-risk youth and integrate trafficking awareness into school settings. Healthcare Professionals: To identify signs of trafficking in medical or behavioral health contexts. Social Service Providers: To enhance case management and support services. Community Leaders and Advocates: To develop community-based strategies for prevention and education. Faith-Based Organizations: To support vulnerable populations through outreach and engagement. Local Businesses and Employers: To understand labor trafficking risks and implement preventative practices. Participants will leave the series with practical tools, strengthened partnerships, and a deeper understanding of how to address human trafficking in their rural communities.
